Canada has committed to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050, but we don’t how to get there. We need transition pathways that are credible (technically, economically, socially), compelling to key stakeholders and capable of achieving the target.
The Transition Accelerator is a new, pan-Canadian non-profit that has been set up to work with governments, industry and academia to spin-out industry-led consortia that will start the journey on the most promising transition pathways. As a Co-founder and Research Director with the Transition Accelerator, David Layzell will start by telling us about it’s philosophy and methodology.
He will then talk about the work that he is doing in CESAR, with the support of the Accelerator, to build out a hydrogen economy across Canada. The AZETEC project that Jessica Lof presented to 360Energy in November 2019 was part of CESAR’s work. David will talk about some of the other initiatives that the Accelerator and CESAR is working on to advance a hydrogen economy in Alberta and across Canada.
